IP/IAS Activity at Knowledge Academy English Medium School
Inspiring Future Leaders Through Awareness, Discipline, and Nation-Building Values
The As-Salaam Foundation, through its educational initiative Knowledge Academy English Medium School, aims to provide more than just academic instruction. It envisions preparing students to be responsible, aware, and capable citizens of tomorrow. With this vision in mind, the school has introduced a unique and empowering co-curricular program titled IP/IAS Activity — a platform that nurtures Intellectual Personality (IP) and creates awareness about the Indian Administrative Services (IAS) and other civil services.
The IP/IAS Activity is designed to cultivate leadership qualities, public awareness, critical thinking, and discipline in students from an early age. The program integrates elements of personality development, current affairs, Indian polity, ethics, and communication skills, tailored to suit school-level understanding. Through structured weekly sessions, students are introduced to real-world concepts that go beyond textbooks and ignite a sense of curiosity about how the country is governed and how they, too, can contribute as future changemakers.
The “Intellectual Personality” component focuses on developing a well-rounded mindset — encouraging students to speak confidently, ask questions, respect diverse opinions, and express themselves through debates, group discussions, and mock interviews. These sessions also include soft skill development, such as time management, goal-setting, and emotional intelligence — all of which are essential for future administrative leaders.
The “IAS Awareness” aspect introduces students to the structure of Indian governance, the roles and responsibilities of IAS/IPS/IFS officers, and the significance of civil services in national development. Students are shown inspirational case studies, documentaries, and stories of civil servants who have made a difference in society. Guest lectures and interactive sessions with real-life IAS aspirants or officials are also organized, making the dream more tangible and motivating.
To foster practical understanding, the school also conducts quiz competitions, model parliaments, mock interviews, and essay contests focused on governance, policy-making, and national issues. These not only sharpen the students' intellect but also develop a sense of social responsibility and patriotism. The activity aims to plant the seed of ambition early on — so students not only aim to "get a job" in the future, but to serve the nation with integrity and purpose.
By introducing the IP/IAS activity, Knowledge Academy English Medium School is taking a bold and visionary step toward nation-building through education. It reflects the As-Salaam Foundation’s broader mission: to uplift communities by equipping young minds with the knowledge, character, and courage to lead.
